The people who live here know a busier, more grown-up city: lab scientists on the Biomedical Campus, tech workers out at the Science Park, commuters heading for King's Cross, and families in Chesterton, Romsey and Cherry Hinton. On Casual.uk, only about one in eight members in the county is under 25, so this is no freshers' week.
The member data has a twist: Peterborough, not Cambridge, appears most often in the county's profiles, with Cambridge second and Huntingdon third. If you live in the city, a match up the line is less than an hour away, and a train ride home makes a handy excuse to stay over instead.
Shares of Casual.uk members in Cambridgeshire, across every section, from member records, October 2026.
Cambridgeshire members are young to middle-aged: more than a third are under 35 and most of the others are 35 to 54, with 35 to 44 the most common age band at more than four in ten. Hardly anyone is over 55. Women are fewer than one in ten here, so any woman who joins will have plenty of choice. Men might like to try the Naughty section too, where about a third of members are women.
Where to meet
The Cam and its commons give the city its best spots for a relaxed hello, and a slow walk back.

A famously mixed, independent street, with cafés, food and pubs where nobody's in a hurry.
Open grass by the river, the boathouses opposite, and pubs along the towpath.
Cambridge can feel like a village, with the same faces at every bar, and a no-strings date is easier when nobody knows you. A short train hop to Ely changes that. The cathedral rises over the flat fenland for miles, and the riverside below it has pubs, tea rooms and a calm walk along the Great Ouse. St Ives, with its old bridge and quayside, is another easy option if you're west of the city.
Up at the Peterborough end of the county, the riverside Embankment along the Nene and the cathedral precincts are the local equivalent, and the train from Peterborough to Cambridge takes under an hour if a match lives at the other end. Huntingdon and St Neots sit neatly in between, with old riverside pubs along the Great Ouse that suit a first meet halfway.
No. Only about one in eight Cambridgeshire members is under 25. More than six in ten are aged 35 to 54, with the late thirties and early forties ahead of every other age group.
Yes. Peterborough actually appears more often than Cambridge in the county's member data, and Huntingdon is on the list too.
