Our story
A British site for adults who like their dating flirty, honest and free of strings.
Casual.uk went online in 2014 with the same name and the same idea it has today: casual dating for adults in the UK. Plenty of apps have come and gone since. Casual.uk is still here, and still all about casual dating.
The idea is simple. Some people want a partner for life. Others want a hot date on a Friday, a regular arrangement with no labels, or someone to flirt with after a long week. Both are perfectly good ways to live, and the second lot deserve a place where nobody raises an eyebrow when they say so out loud.
On a mainstream app, admitting you only want something casual can feel like a confession. Some of your matches want marriage, others are not sure, and you can spend weeks working out which is which. That wastes everyone's time and leaves people feeling judged for being honest.
On a site built for casual dating, the conversation starts somewhere else. Your profile says what you are after, your daily matches take it into account, and being upfront becomes the easy option rather than the brave one. Respect still matters, of course: casual describes the arrangement, never how people are treated. If you are new to it, our guide on what casual dating means is a good place to begin.
Casual.uk is one site with five sections. Each has its own members and its own sign-up, and between them they hold over 2,000 members, nearly all of them in the UK.
Between the five sections, Casual.uk has over 2,000 members, and nearly all of them live in the UK. The main site, Single Casual, has over 900 on its own. Three in four members across the sections are aged 25 to 54, and the Naughty section leans a little older, with most of its members between 35 and 54.
Greater London has the most members by a distance, followed by the West Midlands. West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Glasgow, Hampshire, North Yorkshire and Merseyside come next, close together. Our casual dating across the UK page has a guide to fifteen cities, from London and Birmingham to Newcastle and Oxford, each with the mix of members in that area.
