Keep your private life private
Not everyone wants their colleagues, their ex or their mum stumbling across their dating profile. Fair enough, and you decide how much of you is on show.
You go by a username, and your real name and email address never appear on your profile. It shows your nearest town, never your street or your address. You choose every photo that goes up, so leave out anything that gives away your workplace, your front door or your car's number plate, and keep the more private pictures to yourself until you have met, if you share them at all.

See who is keen before you make your move
Casual dating moves quickly, so it helps to know who is around and who is interested before you send that first message. These are the tools that tell you:
- Badges. Chatterbox, Heartthrob and Most Popular badges are earned through activity on the site, so they are a quick read on who is taking part.
- The members' feed. Status updates and photos show who has been posting lately, and a comment there is an easy way to say hello.
- See who likes you. VIP members get the full list of everyone who has liked them, so nobody has to guess.
- Rewind. Passed on someone too quickly? VIP lets you go back to profiles you skipped.
Before you agree to meet, suggest a quick video call. Two minutes on camera tells you the person matches their photos, and it is a decent test of the chemistry too. Anyone who keeps dodging one is telling you something.

What can other members see about me?
