Southampton and Hampshire
A third of the members here are women, and the sea is never far away.
Shares of Casual.uk members in Hampshire, across every section, from member records, October 2026.
Hampshire is a lovely surprise on the numbers. About a third of members here are women, a higher share than any area we cover except Glasgow and Greater Manchester. The county also skews older than most: around half are 35 to 54, and nearly a quarter are 55 or over, the highest share of any area we cover. Fewer than a quarter are under 35. If that sounds like your kind of company, add a profile on Mature Casual as well, our section for people over 40.
The women here lean towards Naughty, which holds more than half of them, while most of the rest are on this main site. For Hampshire casual dating with the widest choice, it makes sense to be on both.

Join to say hiSouthampton and Portsmouth sit twenty miles apart and have been rivals for longer than anyone can remember. On a dating site, the M27 matters more than the football, and the two cities are almost level in the member data, Southampton just ahead. Basingstoke comes next, and Farnborough, Fleet, Aldershot, Andover, Winchester, Petersfield and Ringwood all turn up too, so the north of the county is as much in play as the coast.
Meeting halfway is easy: Hamble, Botley and Wickham all have old village pubs within a short drive of both cities.
Low-key places to meet
Hampshire's coastline does a lot of the work for you. Pick somewhere with a view and let the conversation, and the flirting, flow.
Southampton's best-known bar street, a few minutes from the medieval walls and the Bargate.
Marina views and waterside tables, relaxed on a weeknight and pretty at sunset.
Wide, leafy and handy for Portswood, ideal for a daytime walk before committing to a whole evening.
A long promenade from the Spinnaker Tower past the castle, with pubs and cafés along the way.
For anyone who'd rather not be spotted in town, the New Forest is a few miles west of Southampton. Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Burley are full of old pubs with gardens, the heath walks are quiet even in summer, and the roaming ponies make a better icebreaker than any opening line. Lymington, on the forest's southern edge, adds a harbour and a Saturday market.
Getting about is mostly by car, but South Western Railway connects Southampton Central with Brockenhurst, Winchester, Fareham and Portsmouth, and Winchester's water meadows are a lovely walk from the station.
Across the Solent, the Isle of Wight is a Red Funnel or Wightlink crossing away. A day trip to Cowes or Ryde, with the sea air and a harbourside pub, makes a memorable second meet if the first one goes well, and a cheeky overnight if it goes very well.

Yes. Portsmouth is almost level with Southampton in the member data, and Basingstoke, Winchester and Petersfield appear as well.
